The Long Island Chapter Scholarship Program is
designed to assist and encourage members in good standing to achieve a
higher level of professionalism in contract management by obtaining education
in skills and disciplines supporting acquisition management either in
the private or public sector or to assist in supporting the child of a
L.I. Chapter NCMA Member in preparing for a career in contracts, business,
finance, law, accounting or fields in or related to business management.
Applicant must meet the following basic criteria:
Pursuing a degree or courses (either formal education or professional education received by attendance at seminars, workshops, passing NCMA sponsored professional examinations, etc.) consistent with academic disciplines generally deemed relevant to professional acquisition management activities or duties.
For College course applicants: Enrolled for the 2013-2014 scholastic year in an accredited academic institution as either a full-time or part-time student (pursuing at a minimum a three credit course, or its equivalent) in good standing in a program leading to either a baccalaureate or advanced degree.
Agreement to maintain good standing as an NCMA Long Island Chapter member for a period of at least one year after receipt of scholarship and to reimburse the Long Island Chapter for all scholarship funds awarded in the event this condition is not fulfilled.
