Reviews and analyzes customer RFPs, developing framework for response and assessing potential problem or risk areas, particularly with respect to the terms and conditions of the RFP or prospective contract. Leads the factfinding and negotiation team, and is specifically responsible for negotiation of terms and conditions. Assures that the proposal and final contract agreement is compliant with law, regulations and corporate policy, particularly with respect to FAR / TINA. Releases internal work authorizations. Reviews, assesses, and reports on the Company's performance against the terms and conditions of the contract, and pursues resolution of problems and changes during performance. Assists in preparation of non-disclosure, teaming, bailment, or other agreements in support of activities with customers. Serves as the official point of contact for all communications with the customer.
Education: Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
Experience, knowledge & skills: 12 years of contract administration experience, including working knowledge of all types of proposals and contracts with U.S. Government, U.S. commercial, and foreign concerns. Knowledgeable of FAR, U.S. export regulations and INCOTERMS. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Functionally proficient in MS Office and general PC operation. Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance, which includes US citizenship.

The Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) is interested in obtaining the resumes of highly qualified journeyman level Contract Specialists for their Expedited Hiring Program. All Contract Specialist positions (for personnel entering DoD after Oct 1, 2000) require at a minimum a bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees; AND at least 24 semester hours of study from an accredited institution of higher education in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management obtained within or in addition to the bachelor's degree.
